Eastman Guitars:
Handcrafted Excellence for the Modern Player.
Discover why players across the USA are choosing Eastman for superior tone, classic style, and unmatched value.
In an age of mass production, Eastman stands apart. Their commitment to time-honoured, traditional lutherie techniques means every guitar is a work of art, meticulously crafted by skilled artisans in their workshops. From hand-carved bracing to the precise tap-tuning of each top, their dedication to detail results in instruments that are not just assembled, but built to sing.
Key Features:
All-Solid Tonewoods: Sourced and selected for optimal acoustic performance and stunning beauty.
Hand-Scalloped Bracing: A meticulous process that unlocks the full tonal potential of the instrument.
Truetone Finishes: An ultra-thin, proprietary finish that allows the wood to breathe and resonate freely.
More Than Just a Name
The Orchestra name was given to this model in 1929 in an attempt to entice guitarists in dance orchestras to pick one up and take it to a gig. In more recent years, it has become a go-to instrument for finger pickers, due to its sensitive dynamic profile and subtle tonal properties. It provides a more carefully sculpted sound than a big bodied acoustic.
We Think 'Inside The Box'
When it comes to building a guitar, there is a big difference between assembly and artistry. If history has taught us anything, it is that there is no substitute for skilled craftsmanship. At Eastman, each instrument is given the attention to detail required to ensure that it reaches its maximum potential.
From the first cut of wood to the final setup, our luthiers focus on the parts you can’t always see but will always hear. Bracing is carved and voiced by hand, tops are thicknessed for the right balance of strength and responsiveness, and every joint is fitted with care to promote resonance and stability.
The result is an Orchestra model that feels immediate under the fingers—clear, balanced, and articulate—whether you’re playing delicate fingerstyle passages or driving rhythm parts. Comfortable on the lap and controlled in the room, it’s an instrument that rewards nuance and stays musical at any volume.
Every Eastman guitar is then inspected, set up, and dialed in to play effortlessly. Because a great guitar isn’t just built to spec—it’s built to inspire, night after night. Features such as hand-scalloped bracing and precision tap tuning are just two examples of the way we differentiate ourselves. Considering the outward beauty of an Eastman Guitar, it’s often easy to overlook the skill and artistry applied to the inside of such a fine instrument.
